In the world of
T-Buckets it seems like everyone picks their side to love them or
hate them. Well this classic 23 Ford T-Bucket fades this line
and will have even the biggest T-Bucket hater checking it out.
It was done in such a way to not look like your everyday bucket.
The body was entirely hand built and crafted by custom builder Scott
Silva. It was created to give the car a unique look from every
other one out there by combining some styling's of all the Fords
from 1923 to 1932. Over 600 hours of work was put into the
custom fiberglass body which made it completely one of a kind.
The rear section itself will have you wondering why this style of
body hasn't been picked up and mass produced. It is just too
cool! It is coated in a custom mix of House of Kolor Kandy
Green and Kandy Blue. It has custom graphics down the side
with the cars name "NasTy" custom striped on the rear. The
body is mounted to a total performance 1923 chassis that has all
been painted to match. In fact, if it isn't polished or
chromed it has been painted to match. That is the type of
detail work that you will notice when checking the car out.
Literally, if it could be chromed or painted...it was. The
inset taillights work just as they should and with no issues.
The hideaway license plate is a very cool feature in that it allows
you to stay legal while still looking good at car shows. The
car has a very tough stance and rides on a set of very high quality
Budnik polished Billet Wheels. With a Mickey Thompson
Sportsman (33X19.5X15) tire in rear you can just imagine how much
money and work went into the wheels alone!
The drivetrain in the
car is almost work the asking price in itself! The 468 Chevrolet big
block V8 runs extremely well and was all professionally put
together. With 9.5 to 1 compression pistons and a 292H
competition cam you know this thing runs. The polished tunnel
ram manifold is topped with two powder coated Holly 650 carburetors
and chrome velocity stacks. The Billet valve covers have a
mirror like finish and the lines have been custom filled with a
purple paint. This purple is also found in a few other
components like the matching spark plug wires. This classic
looks mean driving down the road and has no problem getting
attention. If the look alone doesn't grab them the awesome
sound that is pumped through the Sanderson Ceramic Coated heads and
side pipes. It is truly the type of rumble every car guy is
after. The car runs nice and cool with a Walker radiator
housed in a nicely painted grill and grill shell. Backing up
the motor is a very well built TCI 400 transmission with a 3500
converter. As mentioned earlier all of these components have
been painted to match the car. It has Wilwood polished 4 wheel
disc brakes with a working emergency brake directly on the drive
shaft. The Currie Ford 9" rear end is very stout with 31
spline axles and 4:11 gears. This car is a rocket and will out
perform most things you put it up against!
The interior is kept
simple but you can bet there is still only the best of the best.
The gray bench seat is comfortable and in great condition. The
out side edge of the seat and interior has a 1" section painted
metallic silver which really gives it a cool look. You
wouldn't even notice this accent was there if you weren't looking
for it. The dash is painted a combo of the Kandy body color
and this silver. It is topped with Cyberdyne Digital gauges
that are each mounted in a dark gray bezel. This appear fully
blacked out until you start up the car and see those Red numbers lit
up. A polished Budnik steering wheel is cleanly mounted to the
painted steering column which all has a perfect finish. The
rear view mirror is all billet to match both the side mirrors.
To continue the vintage
32 theme the trunk has been custom made to open like a rumble seat.
However, inside you will not find an extra seat but will see the
fuel cell and extra storage. The car has won a countless
number of trophies and was even featured on the ESPN Mothers car
show series. Another great feature is the fact that the car is
actually titled as a 1923 Ford Roadster!
