If you don't like attention just move along.  This classic has a unique look that raises tons of questions and turns heads wherever you drive it.  They may think your cruising up in some Porsche but will be shocked to find out its a Volvo that they slobbering over.  This classic 1973 Volvo ES 1800 Sports Wagon is something you just don't see everyday.  It has the wagon hatch style rear which is great for storage room and a mean looking muscle car front that is sure to get people out of your way.   The body rides on a Chevy S10 frame and is painted in 2009 Hemi Orange with Rootbeer pearl that shines beautifully in the sunlight.  The car has been buffed out to a perfect finish and is laser straight.  Before painted it was taken down to bare metal to insure it is completely bondo, rust, and body damage free.  All of the exterior chrome is in place and looks great even though it is all original.  There is a lot of stainless trim on this classic which has no dents or dings and is all correctly mounted.  The hood is held down with chrome pins and the scoop is accented with a custom grill that looks perfect on the car.  The weatherstrip and all window fuzzies are brand new to limit wind noise and give it a good seal.  The tinted windows are all nicely done with darker tint in the rear.  There is nothing tougher than side pipes and this custom has 2 1/2" headers into custom mounted side pipes that sound great.  This thing rides on a set of Tru Spoke wheels that shine like a mirror and look perfect on this classic.

If you thought the engine powering this Volvo was tame you can guess again.  Powering up this classic is a 327 V8 out of a 68 Corvette.  If its got enough to send a Corvette flying down the road just think how it does in this lighweight custom.  The car has been updated with disc brakes on all four corners that are all power assisted.  The following table gives a complete breakdown of the engine and drivetrain and all that makes it up:

Double hump heads
Roller rockers
10 1/2 - 1 pop up pistons
HP Cam
Hilbourne aluminum intake
Edelbrock 650 cfm carburetor (mechanical secondary)
Electric fuel pump
Fuel pressure regulator
Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fan
Turbo 350 Automatic transmission (Stage 1 shift kit)
Original Dana 30 rear end with 3:08 gears (True track posi)

The interior on the car is just as nice as the rest and finished out in Beige and Tan.  The seats came out of a Pontiac and are extremely comfortable.  Highback bucket seats weren't typically available in these vintage cars so this was a great addition  The rear seat is still in place and all original.  The original center console is in place and provides extra storage as well as the shifter.  The dash has the original style woodgrain paneling that looks great especially next to the Black faced Autometer gauges.  It was finished out primarily in the original style except for the added Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo system.  The woodgrain steering wheel is in place and in good condition with a chrome horn button.

This is great driving classic that truly does get tons of attention.  Whether your at a car show or just headed to the store you will love hopping in this car!
